TYPE://SOUL is a Roblox anime-styled fighting and action RPG built by the Type Soul group, a verified Roblox developer. Every figure on this page comes from Roblox's own public API rather than a tracker's paraphrase, and each one is stamped with the moment we read it. At 06:42 UTC on August 18, 2026 the game had logged 816,738,566 lifetime visits and carried 636 players in game.

Coverage stance: We have first-party numbers for TYPE://SOUL, and we have not played it. The developer's own description is limited to a control scheme, a jumpscare-and-flashing-lights warning, and a credits list — it names no current event, so this hub carries no "What Is Live Right Now" section. Our codes page tracks the Semi-Rank redemption gate and lists every code as a dated source-listed signal, never a confirmed-active promise.

Live Snapshot

Read directly from Roblox's own public endpoints at 06:42 UTC on August 18, 2026, for universe 4871329703 (root place 14067600077). These are raw platform fields, not estimates. Both links open the live JSON, so you can re-run our reading yourself rather than take our word for it — the numbers will have moved on since we read them, which is the point:

One number here needs interpretation rather than a bare read: 636 concurrent players against 816.7 million lifetime visits is a low ratio for a game this size, echoing a pattern from an earlier check of this same universe — the endpoint's maxPlayers field is still returning 1 today, which is clearly not the real per-server capacity for a multiplayer fighting game. We kept the concurrent figure because it is exactly what the endpoint returned, and dropped maxPlayers from the tile grid rather than publish a number we cannot make sense of.

Background

TYPE://SOUL launched on July 15, 2023 — the most recent developer update the platform recorded was August 9, 2026 at 21:18 UTC, nine days before this reading. Across a little over three years it has accumulated 816.7 million visits. The developer's own description carries a standing player-facing warning: "This game contains jumpscares and flashing lights." The same description credits ten scripters, one animator, four modellers, one UI artist, two builders, two VFX artists and one SFX artist by name, plus a separate list of contributor accounts — first-party evidence of a large, actively staffed team rather than a solo project. We have not been able to source when the code system itself started; the codes page tracks the codes we can date, not the system's founding date.

How the Game Works

The only mechanics we can source come from the control list printed in the game's own description, so that is the full extent of what this section covers. The scheme names two labelled forms without explaining either: J is "Reaper weapon", Ctrl+K is "Monster transformations/Mask rip", and Ctrl+J is "Reaper transformation/Monster transformation" — the same key serving both labels. Movement and combat run on Left Alt for shift-lock, Q for dash, R for critical, and M2 then M1 for a move labelled "Purify". Two ability groups are named directly: Z, X and C for "Element / Vollstandig Moveset", and T and G for "Schrift / Element Release Moveset". The rest are N for an inventory/skill tree, M to meditate, P to emote, B to "Grip/Eat if Monster", V to carry, L for portals, and comma to toggle map markers. We are not naming races, ranks or abilities beyond these labels, and we are not explaining what "Vollstandig" or "Schrift" mean in practice — those words appear in the control scheme with nothing else attached, we have not played the game to confirm them, and filling that gap with outside genre knowledge is the guess this page does not make.

Official Channels

Where to go for first-party information. We link these without nofollow because we have checked them and stand behind them, unlike the third-party trackers cited on the codes page.

The raw API endpoints behind our figures are linked in the Live Snapshot section above rather than here, because they are a verification tool rather than somewhere a player would go.

TYPE://SOUL Codes (August 2026)

Seven source-listed active signals, the Semi-Rank 2 redeem gate that makes a working code look dead, fourteen rows retired on the August 15 recheck, and the redeem steps.

Codes

TYPE://SOUL has a code system we track through third-party lists — the game's own description field carries no code and no redemption hint of its own. Codes do not redeem until a character reaches Semi-Rank 2; below that rank the box accepts input and pays out nothing, which reads exactly like an expired code, and our codes page opens with that gate before it lists a single code. Full rows, source dates and the gate detail are on the codes page, not repeated here.

Update Rule

We do not mark a code as active just because another page says it is active, and we do not quote a player count without saying when we read it. This page records what was checked, when it was checked, and where the evidence runs out.
