Prospecting is a gold-panning and mining simulator from the verified Roblox group Prospecting!, first published on the platform on May 2, 2025. Every figure on this page comes from Roblox's own public API rather than a tracker's paraphrase, each one stamped with the moment we read it. At 02:47 UTC on August 18, 2026 the game was live as Prospecting! 💎 with 4,344 players in game and 255,021,275 lifetime visits.

Coverage stance: We have first-party numbers for Prospecting straight from Roblox's API, and we have not played it. This hub stops where our evidence stops — there is no strategy guide here and no mechanic we cannot point at in the developer's own description. Our codes page treats every code as a dated source-listed signal, holds a disputed reward and a lone-source code out of the confirmed table, and states plainly where trackers disagree with each other.

Background

Prospecting launched on May 2, 2025, and the platform's own record shows the most recent developer update landing August 16, 2026, two days before this reading. Across those roughly 473 days it has logged just over 255 million visits, which averages out to about 539,000 visits per day of its life — a derived figure, not a published one, and real traffic will not be spread evenly across that span. We are not stating an update cadence beyond that single dated record, because the API gives us one updated timestamp, not a history of them.

How the Game Works

Prospecting's own description frames it as a gold-panning game: you take a pan to a river and search for gold, gems and hidden treasures across rivers, caves and old mining sites. It tells players to upgrade their gear and "discover secrets," and it names sluices specifically as the tool to "grind offline." Beyond those lines, the description does not spell out how digging, panning or selling actually work mechanically, what gear stats exist, or how areas are ordered — so we are not describing a dig-pan-sell loop, gear stat names or an area progression here, because none of that is stated first-party in the game's own listing.

Official Channels

Where to go for first-party information. We link these without nofollow because we have checked them and stand behind them, unlike the third-party trackers cited on the codes page.

The raw API endpoints behind our figures are linked in the Live Snapshot section above rather than here, because they are a verification tool rather than somewhere a player would go.

Prospecting Codes (August 2026)

Source-listed code signals, the disputed reward on oneyear, the tracker that inverts the list, redeem steps, and the drop cadence.

Codes

Prospecting has a code system, tracked separately on our codes page. Codes there are treated as dated source-listed signals rather than confirmed active codes — trackers disagree on several strings, and one reward is disputed across three sources. The redemption path is the Settings gear at the top of the screen, then the "Enter Code..." box inside that menu, followed by Claim. Full detail, sources and caveats are on the codes page.

Update Rule

We do not mark a code as active just because another page says it is active, and we do not quote a player count without saying when we read it. This page records what was checked, when it was checked, and where the evidence runs out.
