Notoriety: A PAYDAY® Experience is a first-person co-op heist shooter on Roblox, developed by Moonstone Games, a verified Roblox group, under an official licensing partnership with Starbreeze that brought real PAYDAY characters, heists and assets into the game. Every figure on this page comes from Roblox's own public API rather than a tracker's paraphrase, and each one is stamped with the moment we read it. At 00:30 UTC on August 18, 2026 the game was live with 5,683 players in game and 518,485,933 lifetime visits.

Read directly from Roblox's own public endpoints at 00:30 UTC on August 18, 2026, for universe 16680835 (root place 21532277). These are raw platform fields, not estimates. Both links open the live JSON, so you can re-run our reading yourself rather than take our word for it — the numbers will have moved on since we read them, which is the point:
games.roblox.com/v1/games— players in game, visits, favourites, created and updated dates, live title.games.roblox.com/v1/games/votes— the up and down vote counts behind the approval figure.

What These Numbers Actually Mean
Raw counts are easy to quote and easy to misread. These are the three derived figures we use internally to judge whether a game is durable, and what they say about Notoriety.
- Favourites as a share of visits — 0.508%. This is a retention signal: how many of the people who showed up cared enough to bookmark. It sits well under the 1.5% mark that would signal an in-game reward for favouriting, and the description does not mention any such reward, so we read it as an organic figure rather than a gamed one. It is still meaningfully higher than a game that has not built a lasting following, which fits a title that has been live for well over a decade.
- Favourites per concurrent player — about 463 to 1. This compares the size of the returning population to the size of the room at any one moment. A ratio in the 150-to-300-to-1 range points at a durable rotating audience; Notoriety's 463-to-1 sits above even that band, which is consistent with a very large historical player base measured against a comparatively modest current concurrency rather than a small, tight community.
- Approval at 92.6% across 633,826 votes. The vote count matters as much as the percentage — a 95% rating on ten thousand votes is noise, while 92.6% on 633,826 is a settled verdict from a large sample.
Put together: a game old enough that its own creation date predates its best-known history, still carrying thousands of concurrent players, an approval rating settled across more than half a million votes, and a favourite base far larger than its current room size. We are not putting an all-time platform rank on the visit count, because we did not verify one.
What Is Live Right Now
The following comes from the game's own description field on the Roblox API, read August 18, 2026 — first-party, not a tracker's paraphrase. The description labels the live build "Version 3.19 - April Fools!", even though the platform's own updated timestamp for that same description is August 17, 2026 — a naming mismatch we are flagging rather than smoothing over, since we cannot say whether the patch itself is new or the label is simply stale.
- New heist: The Moon. The description lists a new heist with the single line "Steal the moon itself!" and gives no further detail about its structure or objectives.
- New weapon. The description names a new secondary weapon, the Urutau Secondary SMG, with no stats attached.
- New cosmetics. The description states new cosmetics were added to the in-game "scrap shop", without listing individual items.
- Bug fixes and improvements. The description states this in general terms, with no changelog of specific fixes.
Background
Notoriety is developed by Moonstone Games, a verified Roblox group. On December 16, 2024 the game relaunched under an official licensing partnership with Starbreeze, bringing genuine PAYDAY characters, heists and assets into Notoriety for the first time — a fact stated on Starbreeze's own December 12, 2024 announcement, which also put the game's visit count at "over 227 million" ahead of that relaunch. Measured against the 518,485,933 visits in our reading, that is roughly 291 million additional visits in the roughly twenty months since, which averages out to about 14.6 million visits a month — an approximation, since Starbreeze only gave a rounded starting figure.
One figure we are not able to reconcile: the API's own created field reads January 29, 2010, over four years before the earliest launch date we can otherwise document for this game. We are recording the raw field as read rather than guessing at an explanation — it may reflect an early or reused universe registration rather than the game's public debut.
Our codes page lists the newest source-listed signal as notoriety12, which the trackers we check tie to a "12th Anniversary" reward. That framing points at an original release around 2014, but it comes from third-party code trackers rather than a first-party field, so we are noting it as a tracker's framing and not as a verified launch date.
How the Game Works
Notoriety is a first-person co-op heist shooter. The description says that on joining, clicking the "PLAY" button takes a player to a list of public heists, and that a player can also start their own heist from there. Pressing TAB on keyboard, SELECT on controller, or tapping the gear icon on mobile opens the controls menu while inside a heist. The description also states that players with Roblox Premium receive an exclusive suit, armor, and mask. That is the honest limit of what we can state. We have not played the game and we are not going to describe difficulty tiers, detection or "heat" mechanics, specific weapon stats, or heist-by-heist walkthroughs from second-hand summaries — if we cannot source it first-party, it does not go on the page.
Official Channels
Where to go for first-party information. We link these without nofollow because we have checked them and we do stand behind them, unlike the third-party trackers we cite on the codes page.
- Notoriety on Roblox — the game itself, and the description field that most of this page is sourced from.
- Moonstone Games — the verified developer group.
- Starbreeze's relaunch announcement — the official licensing partner's own statement on the PAYDAY integration.
The raw API endpoints behind our figures are linked in the Live Snapshot section above rather than here, because they are a verification tool rather than somewhere a player would go.
Notoriety Guides
Notoriety Codes (August 2026)
Source-listed active signals from three trackers, two disputed rows held separate rather than smoothed over, the redemption steps, and the eleven generic-looking codes we refused to publish and their eventual expiry.
Codes
Our codes page currently lists twenty source-listed active signals gathered from three tracker pages, including the newest signal, notoriety12. Codes are redeemed from the main menu's Store, under the Codes tab, and every code must be typed or pasted exactly, case- and space-sensitive. No source we check publishes an expiry date for any Notoriety code, so we do not print one. Full detail, sources and caveats are on the codes page.

Update Rule
We do not mark a code as active just because another page says it is active, and we do not quote a player count without saying when we read it. This page records what was checked, when it was checked, and where the evidence runs out.
