Both links open the live JSON, so you can re-run our reading yourself rather than take our word for it — the numbers will have moved on since we read them, which is the point:

One field worth flagging on its own: the game's creator, Manta Games, is a Roblox group without Roblox's verified badge (hasVerifiedBadge: false in the API response) — a genuine difference from developers who do carry that badge, and we report it rather than assume verification either way.
Background
Catch and Tame launched on November 2, 2025 and has been updated continuously since — the most recent developer update recorded by the platform was August 16, 2026, about a day before this reading. Across those 288 days it has accumulated over 435 million visits, which averages out to roughly 1.5 million visits per day of its life, though real traffic is far from evenly spread. Our own codes page tracks code drops arriving roughly weekly, tied to updates, events and milestones; the Roblox API does not expose a start date for the code system itself, so we are not inventing one here.
How the Game Works
All of the following comes from the game's own description field on the Roblox API, read August 17, 2026 — first-party, not a tracker's paraphrase. Players equip a lasso and explore an island of roaming wild animals, catch them, and bring them back to a pen to build a collection. The description states that pets earn money even while the player is offline. Feeding animals is said to raise "luck". Animals can be combined "with your heart" to discover new pets, and the description invites players to experiment with different pairs to uncover rare and secret animals. Servers hold up to 5 players, per the API's own maxPlayers field. That is the honest limit of what we can state. We are not describing a taming minigame, the lasso upgrade order, pen-capacity costs, a weather system, or specific rare-pet names from second-hand wikis — none of that appears in the game's own description, so it does not go on this page.
Official Channels
Where to go for first-party information. We link these without nofollow because we have checked them and we do stand behind them, unlike the third-party trackers we cite on the codes page.
- Catch and Tame on Roblox — the game itself, and the description field that most of this page is sourced from.
- Manta Games — the developer group, where update announcements are posted.
The raw API endpoints behind our figures are linked in the Live Snapshot section above rather than here, because they are a verification tool rather than somewhere a player would go.
Catch and Tame Guides
Catch and Tame Codes (August 2026)
Source-listed code signals grouped by how many trackers agree, the contested rows, the reward dispute on LABORATORY, redeem steps, and the drop cadence.
Codes
Catch and Tame has an active code system, though our trackers disagree on several rows — some list the same code active and expired on the same day. We group codes by how many sources agree rather than picking a side. The redemption path is the Codes button inside the Backpack panel, not a separate menu. Full detail, sources and caveats are on the codes page.

Six codes agreed active by every source, one still contested, four moved to expired, and a legacy batch retired by three independent trackers.
Update Rule
We do not mark a code as active just because another page says it is active, and we do not quote a player count without saying when we read it. This page records what was checked, when it was checked, and where the evidence runs out.
